Staff

Reverend Nathan Kingis the Lead Pastor at CAC.  He came here in 2006 from Moosic PA, Alliance Church. Prior to that, served in Maine from 1990-1998 and New York 1986-1990.

Pastor Nathan, his wife Tara, daughters, Audrey, Ellen, and son Ian,  have settled in the Bloomsburg area, bought their first home and are active in the community as well as the church.

Pastor has helped the church through difficult transitions, and CAC is on the road to health and growth.  He has helped the church leadership develop and initiate a three year Vision Path, which is underway in its first year.

Pastor King brings experience in missions, coaching and leadership development, with an emphasis on personal balance to our church.  He desires to continue to establish and maintain spiritually and emotionally healthy processes, ministry and community life.  He hopes the church will increasingly impact the community at large by the way they love God and their neighbor as themselves.

On a personal note, Pastor Nathan enjoys fishing, hunting, all sports, music, reading, and gardening.

Reverend Jeffrey Salvesen is Associate Pastor.  He came to us in 2001 after finishing seminary.  Previously Pastor Jeff served as the Jr. High Youth Director at Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, NJ where he served for three years.

Pastor Jeff is the second son (of 5 boys).  He grew up mostly in New York, but has lived in 4 states.  Jeff is married to his wonderful wife Annette and they have two boys, Jordan and Caleb.

Pastor Jeff went to Nyack College in Nyack, NY, where he got a B.S. in Youth Ministries and Psychology (Nyack is also where he met Annette).  Pastor Jeff later received a Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary.

Jeff loves nature, which God has created for his people’s enjoyment, spending time with his family, hanging out with teens and young adults, Soccer, NFL (and playing fantasy football), golf, drawing, good movies, and he has a small addiction to reality T.V. for which he is seeking counseling (thank you, Pastor Nathan).  Pastor Jeff’s life verse is Psalm 46:10

 Deb Frederick came on board the staff in December, 2007.  Deb is married to her husband, Steve, has five grown children and eleven grandchildren.  She is the church secretary and is on the Outreach Ministry Team.  Deb loves the Lord, her church family and also enjoys teaching adult education and working with college/career young men and women.  Hobbies include Quiddler and Sudoku.
